Beekeeping or Just Bee Friendly

If you have an interest in beekeeping - or are just curious as to how its done and by whom - come to a monthly meeting of the Capital City Beekeepers Association.  The CCBA meets monthly on the fourth Tuesday of each month (except for December) at the warehouse facilities of Dadant and Sons, Beekeeping Supplies at 955 Chenault Road, Building D, Frankfort KY 40601 (telephone 502-848-0000)

CCBA has grown from a dozen members to more than 75 in just four years.  The membership includes individuals who have tended bees for more than 25 years and many others who have established their first hives in the last year or two.  In some cases members are just exploring the notion of beekeeping and others are more interested in making products from honey and bees wax. There's no charge for attending and no need to commit to joining.

Kentucky Farm Bounty

Lazy Dog Honey is also distributed by Kentucky Farm Bounty, a distributor  and cooperative marketer of fresh, small farm products of Central Kentucky.  Kentucky Farm Bounty was organized by three central Kentucky beekeepers and includes Lazy Dog (John Antenucci), Guthrie Naturals (Clay Guthrie) and Bridgeport School Honey (Joel Schrader).
